Senior Consultant/Director

We are seeking a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor with around 5 years' post-qualification experience to join the Quantum Consult team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, flexible individual to join a successful team of Commercial Support, Dispute Support and ADR specialists in a Chartered Quantity Surveyor practice.

You may already be practising in these specialist areas, but if you are not, we will provide full training and support for you to develop and become a trained expert in this field.

As a Senior Consultant you will be working with a varied client base, typically Main Contractors on projects with a £2m+ value and £500k Subcontract Packages. You may also work on claims assignments abroad through existing international clients of Quantum. Depending on your experience, the role will open up opportunities for rapid advancement to become a director.

It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction industry professional with the right skills and ambition to help develop Quantum. In addition, the role will enable you to develop and utilise your expertise across a variety of disciplines including legal and business management.

A related degree, ARICS or MRICS status and PQS or Contractor experience are essential requirements for this role, as is a full driving licence and your own car.

Junior/Intermediate Consultant

If you are a recently qualified Quantity Surveyor, the role of Junior Consultant could be the perfect opportunity to take your career to the next stage.

The position is ideal for a graduate in a relevant degree or an individual who has worked within a QS practice or contractor for up to 3 years to develop their skills and expertise as part of a team providing commercial support of general quantity surveying, and possibly been on the periphery of some dispute resolution. Depending upon your experience and qualifications such as MRICS, the role may be recognised as intermediate level.

You may already have some experience in these specialist areas, but don't worry if you don't as we will provide full training and support to help you develop and gain expertise to practise in this field.

You will be working with Quantum Consult's team of experienced consultants with a varied client base, such as Main Contractors on projects with a £2m+ value and £500k Subcontract Packages. You may also work on claims assignments abroad through existing international clients of Quantum.

It is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic construction industry professional with the right personality, skills and ambition to play an important role in the future of Quantum.

The role will be varied and will involve working with senior members of the team:

  • Handling commercial and contractual queries
  • Taking a forensic approach to surveying and contract administration
  • Managing own project and contract administration
  • Advising clients in line with company procedures
  • Providing high level of service
  • General day to day Quantity Surveyor duties
